  • Great church with great teaching by senior pastor Steve Hammack. Very solid, biblical perspective that encourages each person to seek out the truth of God's Word. Enjoyable small groups that allow for connection on a more personal level. Strong youth and children's programs on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Would recommend to anyone wanting a real experience with genuine Christianity.

  • Literally, from the first day that we attended Anchor, we were made to feel like family. Everyone that we encountered was loving, and genuine. Having now attended for several years, it is obvious that the leadership will never compromise on the Truth of God's word, yet will consistently teach with a generous dose of Grace. This is a place where you can hear the Gospel preached, and see it lived out in the lives of the people. If you are looking for a place to Worship, Serve, and be plugged in to the Body, then prayerfully consider if this is where God wants you!

  • Anchor is home to our family. It's a place where real people, with real struggles, can love Jesus together. Additionally, my Dad is the pastor (Steve Hammack). He is a man of integrity who will point people to the Truth. I can honestly say he is the same on Sunday as he is all week. I'm thankful for our church home and the people that make up Anchor!

  • Where do I start? I'll start with the pastor since he is the one who sets the tone for everything else. Pastor Steve is truly a godly man who teaches God's Word, has a heart to see his church members grow in their faith, and has a passion for telling everyone about God's grace.

Anchor doesn't do "Sunday School", they do Lifeschool (both Sundays and Wednesdays). I enjoy the Lifeschool classes because they range from simple practical living to deep theological teachings and discussion.

Anchor also has Community Groups, which is one of my favorite parts of how this church body works. They are small groups, either adults or whole families, where you can get to know others on a more personal level. They meet during service hours or throughout the week at different homes and include Bible study, prayer, service, and fellowship. I LOVE my Community Group!

The youth group is led by a wonderful youth pastor, Luke McGee, who has a heart to see the 6th through 12th graders grow in their faith. There are also many leaders who teach by grades in small groups who love the kids and desire to see the kids' grow in their knowledge of God. In my opinion the youth group is unlike most I've seen. It isn't cliquish. It's a place where someone new can easily get to know others and feel a part.

Although mine are all now in the youth group, they had excellent and loving teachers for the grade school ages where classes are fun but God's truth is always the priority.

I love Anchor Church and am so glad God led us there.

Come visit us. We'd be glad to have you.

  • Very knowledgable sermons with very nice people. They genuinely care about all who attend the church and look for ways to come together and help the community.
